On issues such as securing funding for generic industry marketing as well as continued growth opportunities in the LCBO, including LCBO support, increased VQA listings and shelf space, industry red tape, winery margins and access to markets for domestic wines and new programs for smaller wineries.
The Wine Council of Ontario is an industry partner in the delivery of generic marketing programs for the Ontario VQA (locally grown and produced) wine industry under the brand name Wine Country Ontario.
On issues such as environmental sustainability, food safety and retailing options, including our Sustainable Winemaking Ontario program
Such as networking, "Knowledge Sharing Seminars", Town Hall meetings, and Industry Committees that allow members to increase their skill-set and play an active role in helping to develop industry policies

The Wine Council of Ontario’s (WCO) role is to promote Ontario VQA wines and vintners, support the production of excellent local wines that are valued both at home and abroad, and build on the substantial economic benefits that the VQA wine industry brings to the province.
The WCO currently represents approximately 105 winery properties across the province of Ontario. We represent wineries located in Niagara, Prince Edward County, Lake Erie North Shore - including Pelee Island and emerging wine producing regions such as Ontario’s South Coast and Georgian Bay/Grey County.
